YOUTH

The KBYT Youth Department offers a wide variety of programs for the children of our Shul and the entire community.  For more information or to volunteer, please send an email to youth@kbyt.org.

SHABBOS ACTIVITIES

SHABBOS MORNING YOUTH GROUPS:  Shabbos morning youth groups are available for children in pre1-A through third grade; groups begin at 9:30 AM on shabbos morning and run through the conclusion of mussaf. There are separate groups for boys and girls, and the program takes place in the simcha hall of the Shul. We are excited about this year's youth groups; we have hired new group leaders and purchased new toys and games.

The Shul will provide snacks for those attending groups, and children should not bring their own food to groups (Note:  the Shul is not a nut-free environment; parents of children with allergies should take neccessary precautions).  We have made efforts to keep our new Shul building clean, and we urge parents to instruct their children to treat the Shul and its grounds with respect.

SHABBOS MORNING BOCHURIM/YOUTH MINYAN:  Our popular youth minyan draws some 60 boys and young men each shabbos morning.  The youth minyan is held in the downstairs shiur room of the Shul and begins at 9:15 a.m. am.  The minyan is open to boys in the fourth grade and older, and is particularly geared to boys in junior high school and older.  The minyan runs until the summer, and is always in search of those willing to assist with laining, even for a selection of the weekly parsha.  If you wish to assist the minyan in any respect, please send an email to youth@kbyt.org.

LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL

The success of Kehillas Bais Yehudah Tzvi's more than 10 Little League teams is well known.

For questions about KBYT's Little League program, please send an email to baseball@kbyt.org.  For more information about weekly schedules and the league in general, please refer to the Orthodox Little League website at http://orthodoxbaseball.blogspot.com.

In addition to the official slate of teams listed on the League website, our Shul is also proud to field a special team for those in Pre-1A.  This team meets at the Number 6 school each week at 11 a.m.
